The second forest day of the Beira Alta O’Meeting – Sátão 2026 (BEIRAOM) also counted as a World Ranking Event (WRE) and delivered a demanding, physical and technically challenging race — a true test of endurance and decision-making.
Victory went to Elias Kuukka, who set a strong pace and won in 39:30.

The western part of the map (newly surveyed) has significantly denser vegetation than the eastern part, including numerous fallen and broken trees that hinder running speed.
As a result, progression in the western area will be noticeably slower than in the eastern part.
It is important to note that fallen trees and dense vegetation are present, to some extent, across the entire map, particularly throughout the western area of the arena.
Following the recent storms, this situation has become slightly more evident.
According to ISOM, green areas represent different levels of reduced runnability:
The organisation of the Beira Alta O’Meeting – Sátão 2026 (BEIRAOM) shares two important updates for all participants:
1️⃣ Warm-up Race – Start times
Due to the high number of registered athletes, the start time for the Warm-up Race has been moved forward to 12:00 (see Program)
Please take this change into account when planning your arrival.
2️⃣ Model Event – Map change
The Model Event will now take place on the Sr. dos Caminhos map, giving athletes an initial contact with the terrain and mapping style they will encounter during the competition.
3️⃣ Campervan overnight parking
Information about an official campervan overnight area is now available on the event website.
👉 It will also be possible to park at the event parking area, however this is not an official campervan site and does not provide dedicated services.

The two WRE stages of the Beira Alta O’Meeting – Sátão 2026 are now officially created and available on IOF Eventor.
🔔 Important information for Elite athletes
During the OriOasis registration process, Elite category athletes must provide their IOF identification number (IOF World Ranking ID).
All athletes competing in these categories must also be registered in the IOF system – IOF Eventor, which is mandatory for participation in WRE competitions and for World Ranking points to be awarded.
